The SunFit Project is a dermatologist-led initiative that aims to increase melanoma awareness, provide information on skin cancer and prevention strategies, and increase sun safety practices in Canada.
Here is a look at the various statistics surrounding melanoma, which is a form of skin cancer, in Canada. Our goal in showing these statistics is not to cause chaos or fear, but rather to alert Canadians on the increasing rates of melanoma in Canada. Through this project, we also want to increase awareness of melanoma and other skin cancers that affect Canadians and provide information about these cancers and sun safety.
McGill University students are dedicated to increasing Sun Awareness to lower melanoma risk across Canada. The students took to the community markets in Quebec to spread their message and to provide sunscreen samples. Learn more
